    Aspire:  This program provides FREE mentoring to help your student finish high school, FREE job assistance, FREE career advisement and FREE resume writing assitance.  This program is designed for students ages 14-21.  They also provide help to young people who have dropped out of school to assist them in getting back into school.  If your student or somone you know could benefit - be sure to stop by and see Aspire.

Tempe Accelerated High School is having an Open House on Thursday, August 11, from 5-7 p.m. All students and families are encouraged to attend. Come meet teachers; have pictures taken for I.D.s; pick up schedules; up date information; sign up for sports; receive information on transportation, the new vocational training programs and Title I offerings and, of course, always enjoy refreshments together.
 
 
Tempe Accelerated High School celebrated the beginning of a new vocational educational training center on Thursday evening, July 28, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. 
 
 
 
 
We have developed a new aspect of Tempe Accelerated High School as part of a new direction and renewed commitment to provide greater opportunities for student success.  Building two of the school is devoted to the vocational education training programs: Medical Assistant training program, Pharmacy Technician training program, Computer Information Systems training program and Early Childhood Development training program.
 
 
Graduates from Tempe Accelerated High School are graduating from post-secondary programs and entering the work force.  Here are a few of their stories -
  • Theresa B. (1998) - Living in Germany and studying biology
  • Trisha C.  (2002) - .Graduated early from TAHS  a few days after her 17th birthday.  She then attended ASU and graduated with her bachelor's degree.  She also worked as the full-time registrar for TAHS.
  • Jessica E. (2002) - Graduated from ASU in May of 2010
  • Nathan L. (2008) - Graduated with AA from Mesa Community College and as  certified veterinary technician.  Working towards attending Colorado State University to become a veterinarian.  
  • Goldie S. (2009) - Graduated from Everest College in March of 2010 in medical assisting.  She is now pursing an associates degree in behavioral health from South Mountain Community College while she works in the home - care  health industry.
  • Nichol T. (2001) - Living in Colorado works in design and planning for home and office cabinetry.
  • Donovan V. (2003) -  recently stopped by our campus to inform us that he had graduated from Pima Medical Institute in Veterinary Assisting.  He is also studying to teach karate.
