All students, families and friends are invited on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m.to Tempe Accelerated High School & Vocational Training Center's Thanksgiving Celebration.  There will be a delicious Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings and desserts provided by the staff. You and your family will have the opportunity to meet and talk with the TAHS family and enjoy this time of thanks.  Please come and enjoy the evening with us.

Ms. Trump will be leading Tempe Accelerated High School & Vocational Training Center students on Saturday, October 29, in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.  The Making Strides event is not a race but a celebration of survivorship, an occasion to express hope and a shared goal to end a disease that threatens the lives of so many people we love.  Click on this link if you would like more information and/or would like to donate.  People of all ages are welcome to participate and help raise funds.

It's fiesta time!  Tempe Accelerated High School and Vocational Training Center is hosting a Fiesta Night Wednesday, September 21, from 5-7 p.m.  This will be a night of fun for the whole family.  There will be FREE Mexican food, games, contests, ice cream, door prize drawings and more.  Come meet the TAHS teachers and sign up for FREE state tutoring programs available to all students.

Invite your friends and family to come check out TAHS, play games including X-box Kinect and sign up for some fatanstic programs!  TAHS has worked with Friendly House to provide our students the opportunity to join TRiO and Aspire.  
    TRiO:  This program provides FREE tutoring, FREE college campus tours, FREE SAT/ACT test prep and FREE college admissions help for students grades 9-12.    TRiO will be on-site accepting applications.  Download your applications now and come ready to apply!  You will need BOTH the Application & Certification of Eligibility.

    Aspire:  This program provides FREE mentoring to help your student finish high school, FREE job assistance, FREE career advisement and FREE resume writing assitance.  This program is designed for students ages 14-21.  They also provide help to young people who have dropped out of school to assist them in getting back into school.  If your student or somone you know could benefit - be sure to stop by and see Aspire.

Tempe Accelerated High School is having an Open House on Thursday, August 11, from 5-7 p.m. All students and families are encouraged to attend. Come meet teachers; have pictures taken for I.D.s; pick up schedules; up date information; sign up for sports; receive information on transportation, the new vocational training programs and Title I offerings and, of course, always enjoy refreshments together.
